Why do I

into the search bar?
Due to the way our systems is designed, you need to leave the vendor and fixture type out of the search box. To search by vendor and fixture type, please use the drop down menus from the left side of the page or the nav-bar above.

Do I have to create an "account" to be able to order from Granite City Electric?
In a word - No. Due to the limitations of our old software, you used to have to do this. You now have the option of using our express checkout.

Why do I have to create an
"account" to save my items?
In order for us to be able to keep track of your items between visits, you need to create an account with your information. This has the added benefit of allowing you to create several wish lists and quotes. All of these would be able to be accessed in future visits to our site.

Can I buy a light fixture,
try it out, and then return it if I don't like it?
We have a "no hassle" return policy. This does not imply you can try out as many fixtures as you want and keep returning them. If you order a fixture that does not work for you, follow our return procedures to return the item. Please note the item cannot have been installed (unless defective) to get credit. Also note that some items are subject restock fees. In all cases except defective items, it will be the customers responsibility for shipping charges to get credit.
